We sell a lot of awesome tools and, as a subscriber to our emails, you already know that. But maybe you don't know about my favourite accessories. These are the ones that I, on occasion, reach for in my back pocket... "Have you seen this, and do you know how it works?"
Festool Extended Length Delta Sanding Pad
I'm sure that you know the RO 90 sander includes a delta sanding head, but did you know that there is an extended length version that puts the sanding pad entirely in front of the sander?

It's great for sanding hard to reach areas like in between spindles and deep toe kicks. You can buy the entire extended head assembly which can be installed in seconds, or buy a 2-pack of replacement extended backing pads which can be attached to the regular triangular head in a couple minutes with a screwdriver (just don't lose the screws).
Mirka 130g 5" Sanding Pad for 6" Sanders
6 inch random orbit sanders are our best selling style of sander by far, but sometimes a smaller sander provides better balance and control - especially when sanding narrow areas. This sanding pad can be used with 6 inch sanders and doesn't require adjusting the counter balance.
Festool Hose Connector and Reducer
This inconspicuous funnel is one of my favourite problem solvers. Want to connect a D50mm hose to a track saw or Kapex? Want to connect any two D 27 or D 36mm hoses quickly? This is the answer.
Festool Adapter for D 36mm Hoses
This adapter allows you to connect a D 36 hose to the smaller ports found on tools like sanders, jigsaws, and Domino joiners. So, you can use the D 36 mm hose with any Festool tool.
Do you often use an extension cord with the standard 4m Plug-It cords? Well, did you know that there's a 10m version available, too, intended to be a replacement part for Festool's 10m sleeved hose? It's 16 gauge, so compatible with all Festool tools that accept Plug-it cords.
This one might not be a big secret, but I do feel that it's an often-ignored accessory. Not just for drywall, this depth stop chuck is perfect for assembling cabinets, decking, and subfloors. And, unlike its predecessor, this one is compatible with all Festool drills with the FastFix stub (e.g. accepts a Centrotec chuck).
And to wrap up this email, I'll leave you with my favourite Festool trivia question: Which tool (unfortunately recently discontinued, which makes the question less relevant) includes a part called a "fluff filter"? I'll share the answer in the next week's Bi-Weekly Newsletter.
Until next time,
Chris Wong
PS: Here's what AI came up with for a Festool power tool that uses a fluff filter. Looks like a fixed base router for removing carpet fuzz from hard surfaces. I think that thing on the left is supposed to be a vacuum hose, but I'm not sure what's on the other side. Maybe a leaf blower nozzle? Whatever it is, I'm sure it comes with Festool's 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee.
