This large diameter flycutter router bit with 4-sided inserts made of Amana's exclusive carbide grade for the optimum quality of cut and cutting efficiency.
The surfacing bit is ideal for spoilboard surfacing, slab levelling, and rabbetting. Also suitable for router sled machines (ensure that your router sled rails are fully stable and squared).
Designed for planing and rabbetting
The router bit is ideal for cutting MDF, high-density fibreboard and low-density fibreboard. It works well, but performance and cutter lifespan is increased by using the optional general purpose cutters (RCK-70-DLC) when cutting hardwood, softwood, plywood, balsa core, chipboard, epoxy resins or UHMW polyethylene.
When cutting plastics or acrylic, lower the RPM and adjust feed rate to prevent chip welding and adhesion of material to the cutter.
4-sided solid carbide inserts
The solid carbide inserts stay sharp in natural and man-made materials. When dull, they can be quickly rotated to expose a new sharp edge for the highest quality finish. Note that screws should be tightened to 2-3 Newton-metres torque.
