Create clean, straight cuts with a Festool guide rail with ease

When used on a Festool guide rail (not included), the saw slides smoothly along the length of the cut and a straight cut is automatic. Three high-quality motor bearings ensure a smoother cut and longer tool life.

Make clean, splinter-free cuts every time

Festool guide rails feature a splinterguard on the bottom which serves as a zero-clearance support to ensure a splinter-free top surface. A second splinterguard can be fitted onto the TS 55 REQ housing to ensure splinter-free cuts on the offcut as well. Both splinterguards work for both square and bevel cuts.

Retractable riving knife reduces the chance of kickback

A riving knife is located right behind the blade to ensure that the material does not pinch the blade, reducing the chance of kickback. The splitter is spring-loaded so that the saw can be plunged into a panel and automatically drops down into the kerf when the saw is advanced.

Superb dust collection

Make cuts without making a mess. Capture dust at the source by hooking up the TS 55 REQ to a wire-framed dust bag or dust extractor (neither included). The rotating dust port allows the hose to be positioned out of the way, or dust to be ejected away from the user.

Fast and easy blade changes

To change the blade on the TS 55 REQ, first rotate the FastFix lever to the forward position. This locks out the switch, locks the arbor, and allows the blade to be lowered to where the arbor bolt is accessible. The saw locks down in this position and the on-board hex key can be used to remove the arbor bolt.

Fast and simple micro-adjustable plunge depth

Squeeze and slide the depth stop to the desired depth of cut. A split depth scale indicates depth of cut on and off a Festool guide rail. Turn the fine-adjust knob to micro-adjust the cut depth.
