The Festool OF 1010 Table Widener is designed to provide enhanced stability and control when routing in the edge area. When working near the edge, the router typically rests only partially on the workpiece, which can cause instability. This base widens the surface area, offering more secure and stable support.
The support extension on one side of the base runner, secured with retaining screws, helps prevent the router from tipping over, ensuring steady operation in challenging edge areas. The extra-wide contact surface increases stability for more precise routing.
Please note, the Table Widener cannot be used in combination with the dust hood KSF-OF 1010.
