A revolutionary development, the Origin provides the accuracy and repeatability of CNC with portability of a handheld router. While the entire unit is handheld and moved around by the user who provides the gross movements, the motor spindle itself is attached to a CNC-controlled mount that provides the precision.
The new and improved Origin makes precision cutting easier than ever before. It features a 25% larger screen at 2.4 times the resolution, improved scanning performance, aluminum unibody and more.
Origin's automatic cut correction brings CNC accuracy to handheld routing
With a computer-guided spindle mount, Origin automatically adjust the router spindle position within the tool to ensure it's always cutting in the right place. The on-screen display shows you where to move the tool, and the tool takes care of the fine positioning. With Origin, you can achieve precision without specialized jigs and templates.
Touch screen interface makes operation easy intuitive
The large colour LCD multi-touch screen makes adjustments and operation simple. Basic shapes and designs can even be programmed on the tool.
Connect to Origin via WiFi and USB
Origin is Wi-Fi enabled for transfer of design files via ShaperHub, and for receiving software updates. The USB port allows easy offline transfer of SGV design files.
Dust extraction port for 27 and 36mm hoses

Shaper Tools Plate
Designed to work with the Shaper Origin, the Plate is a universal template designed to facilitate the installation of hardware, round corners, bore System 32 holes, inlays and more.
Combined with ShaperHub's Hardware Catalog (click to explore) which contains hundreds of vetted digital hardware files, Plate makes is fast and accurate to cut install hardware without specialized single-purpose templates.
Shaper Tools Plate is easy to secure
An anti-slip backing makes Plate easy to locate, and the custom-made low-profile clamps allow it to be securely locked down. Further, the fence and flag stops allows Plate to be aligned virtually anywhere on the workpiece and alignment rails allow it to be used with custom fixtures.
